As a Shipping Agent, you are the crucial link between shore and ship. You ensure that every vessel call runs smoothly, from arrival to departure. You coordinate operations, handle documentation, and maintain contact with captains, ship owners, terminals, and authorities. No two days are the same, and you know how to stay calm, even when the pressure rises.

What will you do?

• Coordinate and manage vessel calls from A to Z, including all required documentation and communication with customs and authorities;

• Act as the primary point of contact for ship crews, captains, principals, terminals, and service providers;

• Plan and coordinate vessel arrivals and departures;

• Work closely with colleagues both in the office and on the quayside;

• Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company procedures.

Who are we looking for?

• You have an affinity with the maritime industry. Experience in shipping or port operations is an advantage, but your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are even more important;

• You are proactive, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks at once;

• You have strong communication skills in English and preferably Dutch, or you are willing to learn Dutch;

• You are flexible and willing to work outside regular office hours when required. After all, ports never sleep;

• You are comfortable working with administrative systems and digital tools.
